Curriculum
Early learning is most effective when it parallels the academic curriculum children face as they progress through school. We have met with local school principals to review their programs and expectations. The Ohana approach ensures our students are well prepared, making their transition to elementary school smooth and enjoyable. Your child will build a love of learning that stays with them for years to come.
Center-Based Learning
Ohana provides a “center-based” learning approach. Your child will learn and then work in small groups to practice what has been taught. This method includes:
- Guided practice
- Guided-independent practice
- Independent practice
Our balanced approach ensures a healthy mix of work and play. Teachers use techniques that address different learning styles, including:
- Kinetic (hands-on) learning
- Visual learning
- Auditory learning
Parental Communication & Involvement
We believe consistent communication is the key to success. You can track your child’s progress through:
- Daily reports
- Back to School Night
- Parent-teacher conferences
